5 European bikes we want in India
We do see a lot of European bikes being imported into India. These bikes are famous for their build quality, performance, ergonomics and looks. Here are 5 European bikes we think would do great in India. With these European bikes in India we could see many new types of riders and segments emerge.
KTM SMR 450
This is a super moto style bike that we want in India. This bike with its 450cc single-cylinder high revving 4 stroke motor makes about 63 bhp. With this much power with a light frame of only 119 kgs dry this bike is very light and nimble. Also, the 7-litre tank does not add much and the bike is very fun to ride. Be it riding in the city or at a track day, this would be fun.
KTM 450 Rally Replica
Another use of the 450cc engine would be having the Rally Replica Adventure bike. This is a completely Dakar style bike. This bike would be a gem for most KTM enthusiasts. Also, the paint scheme and ergonomics might attract a few customers. This is a hardcore offroader.
BMW K1600 Grand America
This bike has a 4 stroke inline-6 cylinder motor. This 1600cc engine makes 175 Nm of which 125Nm are available from 1500 rpm. This engine is geared for the highway and BMW should have it in India as a competition to the Honda Gold Wing.
Yamaha Tracer GT
This the go-to sports tourer in the Yamaha bikes lineup. The bike has an 847cc 3 cylinder engine. This engine makes 115bhp of power and 87 Nm of torque. Also, this bike comes with an 18-litre fuel tank, touring seat and panniers which are all essential for touring.
Suzuki GSX S-1000
The Suzuki GSX S-1000 has been launched a few days back. This hyper naked looks great and has amazing performance. In this update, it gets a more modern headlight and overall sharper design. The bike is supposed to be very nimble and easy to flick through corners. We would love to see this bike in India.
