Toyota has a vast portfolio when it comes to cars in foreign markets. There are some products that we wish Toyota must bring to India. In this article, we will discuss 5 Toyota cars that we want in India. Let’s go.

Should you buy Tata Harrier over Hyundai Elantra?

Toyota Hilux

Toyota Hilux loading

With the customers now growing a keen interest in pickups in the country, Toyota must bring up the Hilux, the brand’s pickup, in order to up its game and stay ahead of the future so that it already develops its game for pickups in the country before the segment truly gains massive traction.  Toyota Hilux looks highly inspired by the Fortuner, however, it does have its own charm. The Hilux would be a very strong product as the car is based on the Fortuner’s platform, which is already the country’s favourite SUV to date.

Toyota GT86

Toyota’s GT86 is a 2-door coupe from the brand that seen quite some success. The car comes powered by a 2.0-litre engine that makes a maximum of 197bhp when mated to an automatic gearbox and 204bhp when mated with a manual gearbox. The engine has been made in partnership between Toyota and Subaru. The GT86 offers a pure driving experience with its not so flashy instrument cluster which reminds of powerful cars from the past.

Toyota GR Yaris

Toyota GR Yaris is basically the tuned up version of the Yaris hatchback available in foreign markets. The car would cater to the needs of enthusiasts who would like to go the extra mile when it comes to driving performance and the fun-to-drive factor. The car makes a whooping 268bhp with its 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. The car would come as a CBU if the brand plans to bring it here which will significantly increase the final cost.

Toyota Land Cruiser

Toyota Land Cruiser was an iconic product that ruled the premium SUV segment in the country. The car was known for its powerful engine, solid build quality, luxurious interiors and outright road presence. The car, however, had to be discontinued due to the strict BS6 norms in the country. We really wish Toyota brings the new Land Cruiser here as well, as the car has a solid fan base in the country and customers would be willing to see it back on Indian roads.

Mahindra XUV700 – New features for this SUV

Toyota Pixis Epoch

Toyota has cars in segments that cater to the needs of customers who look for premium products, for instance, the Toyota Fortuner, or fall in the upper side of the budget-friendly vehicle segment, for instance, the Toyota Glanza. However, the brand lacks a mass-market product that could help it establish itself in the entry-level budget segment as well, and we believe this problem can be solved by Toyota Pixis Epoch. The product basically is a direct rival to cars like Maruti Ignis, Maruti Celerio, Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Tata Tiago and some others. The car does have some features that could help it compete with other products like a fully digital instrument cluster, automatic AC and keyless entry.
