DCT (Dual clutch transmission) are one of the most seamless gear shifting units among cars that offer automatic gearboxes. In the past there have been cars that have such gearboxes but have been very expensive to own. Now the technology is found on many commuter cars. So which cars come with a DCT gearbox? Jeep Compass
The jeep compass has got a refresh for 2021. The DCT transmission comes with a petrol engine. This is a 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit. It is one of the slickest shifting gearboxes. The Jeep Compass makes 160 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It has a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The price of the model with the DCT gearbox starts at Rs 23.14 lakhs.
Skoda Superb
The Skoda Superb gets a DCT gearbox option. It does not have a manual option. The 2.0-litre TSi engine on this car makes about 188 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The Sportline variant costs about Rs 38.03 Lakh and the L&K variant costs about Rs 41.55 lakh.
Kia Seltos
Kia Seltos gets a 1.4-litre TGDi engine mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. This car makes about 142 bhp and 242 Nm of torque. You have to get the GTX Plus variant for the DCT gearbox which starts at Rs 20.24 lakhs. The Seltos 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine also comes with a manual transmission.
Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta too like the Seltos gets a DCT gearbox on the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine. The SX model is the one you can get this gearbox with and it starts a bit lower than the Seltos at Rs 19.55 lakhs.
VW Tiguan AllSpace
This VW Tiguan comes in one variant at an on-road price of Rs 43.27Lakh. This car gets a DCT gearbox and comes with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder layout. This car makes 187 bhp and 320 Nm torque. All the car gets the full-time all-wheel-drive system.
MG Hector
The MG Hector recently got a CVT gearbox but the DCT had been introduced from its launch. The DCT is not the best of the lot and it comes on the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This engine makes 140 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The CVT on this car is considered to be a far better pick than the DCT. The MG Hector with the DCT costs about Rs 19.76 lakh. Hyundai i20
The Hyundai i20 is the only premium hatchback now which offers you a DCT option. This transmission option is provided on the 1.0-litre turbo petrol variant of the vehicle. This engine makes 120 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. The Asta model on which you get the DCT gearbox for the Hyundai i20 costs Rs 12.61 lakhs. There is the dual tone, the Asta (O) and Asta (O) dual tone available too with a DCT unit. There are other gearbox options like the iMT and CVT offered on this car too.
Kia Sonet
Kia Sonet also has the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It also gets 120 bhp of power and 172 Nm. The pricing is the key here as the Kia Sonet as it comes at Rs 12.26 lakhs. The entry point to gets a DCT gearbox is much lower making it a very lucrative offering. The Kia Sonet also gets top of the line features.

Hyundai Venue
The Hyundai Venue brings the entry point for the DCT even lower at Rs 11.26 lakhs with its S variant. With the Hyundai Venue, you also get the reliability of the Hyundai brand and also very good service.
