The Tata Harrier is 4598mm long, 1706mm tall and 1894mm wide with a ground clearance of 205mm. It has a wheelbase of 2741mm. The Hyundai Elantra on the other hand is 4620mm long, 1800mm wide and 1465mm tall. This sedan has a wheelbase of 2700mm. As evident from the dimensions, the Harrier is taller and wider when compared to the Elantra.

The Elantra, on the other hand, comes powered by a 2.0-litre Nu petrol engine that is capable of making 150bhp and 192Nm of torque. It also gets a 1.5-litre U2 diesel engine that makes 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both these unit comes mated to manual as well as torque converter units. The diesel engine on the Elantra produces less power and torque when compared to the Harrier’s Kryotec engine.

  • I think we are entirely skipping/missing the angle of drive from the driver perspective. Not sure if Harrier can be considered a drivers vehicle in terms of performance even if we disregard the the body roll and engine noise ?
