Both the cars offer the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine. The Kia Sonet’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol comes mated to an iMT as well as a DCT gearbox. The Hyundai Venue also comes mated to an iMT gearbox as well as a DCT gearbox. However, it also comes mated with a manual transmission.

Considering the 1.5-litre diesel engines, the Venue comes mated to a manual gearbox only. The Kia Sonet on the other hand comes mated to a manual as well as a torque converter unit. Looking at all the variants of both the cars, we get to understand that the Hyundai Venue variants come at a higher cost compared to the Kia Sonet variants. Moreover, the Sonet’s first variant with the iMT comes in at a cheaper cost compared to the Hyundai Venue’s iMT unit. The iMT unit is much more convenient compared to a manual gearbox. However, one thing to be noted here is that the Hyundai Venue’s base DCT variant comes in cheaper than Kia Sonet’s second iMT model.
Also, the Kia Sonet offers its GT-line which enhances the overall appeal of the car not just on the outside but on the inside as well. The Sonet’s GT line offers features like red accents across the car. Also, red stitching on the interior seating and upholstery is made available. Also, it comes with front and rear parking sensors, BOSE premium sound system and many others. So, the Kia Sonet turns out to be a better buy in the battle of Kia Sonet vs Hyundai Venue as it offers what the Hyundai Venue offers, but at a cheaper price.
