The brand might bring in products that could around the brand’s game in the country. Ford does have products in its foreign markets that have the potential to do really well here. Ford Ranger Raptor
The Ranger Raptor is the brand’s premium off-roading pickup truck that the country will get to experience for the first time. The monster will come as a CBU unit in the country and was spotted in transit some months ago. The Raptor comes powered by a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine capable of pushing out 210bhp and 500Nm of torque. It also gets FOX Racing Shox as standard, terrain management system with Baja mode, 33-inch tyres, 2.3mm thick bash plate, 283mm of ground clearance and many other elements to attract prospective buyers.
Ford Fiesta is a car that could very well take on competitors like Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. The car looks sporty and modern. It comes powered by a 1.0-litre and a 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine in the foreign markets. The car might also be offered with the 1.2-litre engine that we get to see on the Freestyle if Ford decides to bring it here. Bringing the Fiesta here would surely spice up the premium hatchback game in the country.
The Territory is one product that the brand could bring here in order to compete with strong competitors like the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. The car comes with a 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine capable of churning out 143bhp and 225Nm of torque. Placing a strong Ford product in this segment could give the competitors a tough time.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Mustang Mach-E has caught everyone’s attention in the markets where it is currently available for sale. The product has proved Ford’s capabilities to build a performance machine, irrespective of it being an EV. The EV could be a strong contender in the Indian market where premium EVs have just started coming in. Ford could enjoy the early-mover benefit.
Ford New Mustang
India still awaits the launch of the new Mustang. The updated car gets a new exterior with all-LED front lights, reworked tail lamps and front & rear bumpers. It now gets a new 12-inch fully digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, retuned engine that will be able to produce close to 460bhp and 570Nm of torque, new 10-speed automatic transmission and improved safety features like Pre-collision Assist with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
