Dimensions
The US-spec Kia Seltos is 4369mm long, 1800mm wide & 1615mm tall. The India-spec model on the other side is 4315mm long, 1800mm wide & 1645mm high. The US-spec model being longer could provide better comfort on the inside compared to the one available here. The Indian spec could provide better headroom.
Exterior
The US-spec Kia Seltos might look the same as the Indian-spec model, however, the differences become evident once looked carefully. On the front, the bumper and the hood design are different on both cars. Although, both the cars do get the signature tiger-nose grille, however, the grille pattern is different. Coming to the side, both the cars are similar, except for the fact that the US-spec model gets side indicators near the front wheel arch as well. Both the cars share the same rear design elements.
Interior
The interiors are quite different on both models. The US-spec does not get the common panel connecting the touchscreen infotainment system with the instrument cluster, which we get to see in India. Also, the touchscreen infotainment system on the US model resembles the touchscreen on the Ford EcoSport. Also, the AC vents are different on the models. The Indian model gets a manual handbrake, whereas the US model gets an electronic parking brake.
Wheels
The US-spec model gets 215/55 R17 wheels or 235/45 R18 wheels. The one available in India gets either 205/65 R16 wheels or 215/60 R17 wheels.
Engine
The Kia Seltos sold in the US comes powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that can produce 146bhp and 179Nm of torque. It also comes powered by a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine that can produce 175bhp and 264Nm of torque. The India-spec Seltos gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can produce 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. It comes powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can produce 138bhp and 242Nm of torque. It also comes powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that can produce 113bhp and 250Nm of torque.
Features
The US-spec car gets features like Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist camera, Lane Departure Warning, smart cruise control and many others. The Indian-spec on the other hand gets a 360-degree parking camera, HUD, air-purifier, blind view monitor and many others.
