Tata has invested quite a lot in terms of electric vehicles. With the Nexon EV, they have attempted their hand at a new generation of EVs but there is still a lot to come. Here are 5 upcoming electric Tata cars we are expecting to come in the near future.
Tata Sierra EV was shown at the Auto Expo 2020. This car was in its concept form and there were quite wild features in it. This 5 door version of the sierra did not miss out on the curved roof which is the signature of the older Tata Sierra.
The Tata Sierra will become the flagship of EVs when it is added to Tata’s EV lineup. Also, this is one of the most interesting cars among the upcoming electric Tata cars.
With this update, the Tata Nexon EV’s Ziptronic battery system is expected to get an update that might fix the issues owners are facing. Also, the company might give it some new design changes and a new colour.
Tata Tigor is the entry-level sedan from the company. This sedan will come back with a better battery management system and more range. The Tata Tigor EV will have almost the same range as the Tata Nexon but the feature list will be slightly lower.
The Tata Tigor EV will be targeted towards fleet cab services. The higher range will also help cab drivers increase their profits.
The EV is expected to launch soon. It will not change much in terms of design. It will inherit the Ziptronoic system from the Nexon EV.
Altroz EV is expected to come along with the update of the Nexon EV. The company is expected to not launch the Altroz EV before they resolve the issues with the Nexon EV. An actual driving range of 200 to 250 km should be atleast available on this electric hatchback.
Tata HBX is a micro SUV expected with an IC engine. There is a slight possibility that this car will make it in a EV form in the market too. Tata HBX will share the same EV powertrain with the Tata Tigor.
To sum it all up a lot of Tata Products are expected in EV. Tata if wanted could make an EV out of the Tata Harrier and the Safari but those cars are too high in the view of production costs.
