Can you buy one?

If you want a basic car with which you can add aftermarket accessories and features to make it better to suit your needs, the RxE sounds brilliant on paper. It has enough creature comforts plus some that you will have to add. But can you buy one? We asked Renault dealers in Mumbai and Pune on how the car has been performing and which variants are doing well. We never heard about the RxE. When questioned further, they said that variant has never been billed or received by the dealer and they have never even seen it. When we asked if customers want or ask for the base variant, the dealer has to start from the the RxL variant and sell that to the customer.

This means that the variant that starts from Rs 6.55 lakhs is not available. Atleast if you are planning to buy a car around Mumbai or Pune one has to start from Rs 7.35 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai) to get the RxL. This is actually the base variant that is available.
