Tata HBX PRICE expectations
The fact that the Tata HBX is coming soon is hidden from none. Multiple spy shots have already surfaced, with the car undergoing testing on plain roads as well as mountain roads. A lot has already been speculated about the car, starting from its design to the features that it will carry. However, the pricing of the product is an area that is really difficult to crack. In this article, we will discuss the Tata HBX price and what it could be like.

The HBX will be marketed as a product that will cater to the needs of those customers who wish to buy a budget-friendly car that gives them the feel of an SUV. The Tata HBX will be based on the ALFA-Arc platform, the same which underpins the Tata Altroz.
The ALFA-Arc platform is however costly. Now, if Tata needs to market this car really well, it has to bring it at a price bracket that can attract the maximum number of customers. With that being said, the brand already has its Tigor which starts at Rs 5.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) and the Altroz which starts from Rs 5.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Pricing the HBX above the Altroz will affect the sales of the latter which Tata would not be willing to do as the Altroz is doing really well. Pricing the HBX below the Tigor, however, would not be feasible for the brand as the platform is costly. So, the Tata HBX will be fairly positioned between the Tigor and the Altroz.
Thus, the Tata HBX is mostly expected to start around the Rs 5 Lakh price mark, making it convenient for both the customers and the brand.
What will the segment see in the coming time?
With the HBX, Tata will be entering an untouched territory and will try to conquer the segment with safety standards and design. Mahindra already has its KUV100 NXT in the segment. Also, Hyundai is bringing its mini-SUV in the form of the AX1. With rivals now beginning to enter this segment, the segment is bound to become a hot topic in the coming time.
