Best Maruti Zen modification ever?

The Maruti Zen was an icon in itself. Low seating, cute design and great reliability made it a very successful product. The Zen was called the country’s first world car with Europe importing it from India. However, the Zen name had to be dropped in 2009, as other products started becoming more relevant with the general public. But, today we bring to you a Maruti Zen from Kerala which has been modified and we think it could be among one of the best modifications ever done to a Zen.

Honda City to get MORE fuel efficient

Exterior

This Zen has been subtly but elegantly modified on the outside. The car received a black paint job on the outside. Also, 15-inch rims on tyres with a 185/45/15 profile give it a classic yet slick look. The tail-lamps have been replaced by sleeker-looking Lumiere Concepts tail lamps.

With the complete setup, the car sports looks that could easily turn heads. The headlights, however, have been kept stock, giving it the original persona which the Zen knows how to flaunt.

Interior

The interior of the car has been completely re-done with light tan colour all-over the cabin. Even the light-tan leather seats give it a plush and premium appeal. The seats look royal with huge side supports and comfortable headrests. An armrest has also been installed for the front passengers, giving the cabin a comfy vibe for the passengers.

Moreover, the steering and gear knob have also been changed. A touchscreen infotainment system with a Polk Audio system has also been installed to give Zen a modern touch.

Other modifications

The modifications have not been limited to the look only. The Zen has been modified on the inside as well. These involve repainting of the engine bay with neon green colour. Moreover, to enhance the performance, Pipercross Intake System and custom stainless steel headers have been installed on the car.

Also, custom lowering springs have been installed on the car, meaning the vehicle will now be able to deliver better handling, looking sporty at the same time.

With all these modifications, the Zen looks ready to rock the streets.

What did the original Zen sport?

The Maruti Zen sported a G10B engine, which was a 1-litre, 4-cylinder unit made of aluminium. The engine could produce 59bhp and 78Nm of torque. The light weight and tuning capabilities of this car made it a great choice for motorsports as well.
