Hector has been a very successful product for the MG brand in the country. The brand, not-so-long-ago launched the facelift-versions of the Hector, along with a 7-seater variant, for the convenience of the customers and prospective buyers. However, now, spy shots of a newer variant of the Hector have been spotted testing in a foreign market and looking at the spy shots, we are expecting the MG Hector to become much safer than it is now. MG Hector with ADAS spotted testing in Indonesia
MG Hector, which is sold in Indonesia as Wuling Almaz, was spotted testing with a covered radar module on the bumper, hinting at an ADAS on board on the test mule. The ADAS on the Hector is expected to be very similar to the one which the Gloster gets. With ADAS, the Hector will become a much safer product.
What is ADAS?
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, known as ADAS in short, are a set of advanced electronic systems in a vehicle that, as the name suggests, function together to assist the driver while driving and parking, making the whole experience convenient. ADAS functions using radars and cameras, helping the vehicle take note of its surroundings and behave accordingly.

The MG Gloster supports Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Parking Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning using the ADAS system. Alcazar and XUV500 to get it
The upcoming Mahindra XUV500 is expected to come with ADAS in order to establish itself as a very safe product. Following similar lines, the upcoming 7-seater, Hyundai Alcazar is also expected to offer ADAS. Seeing the competition bringing in the ADAS, MG might also gear up to load its Hector with ADAS to stay at par with the competition.

With competition running the race to bring in multiple features for affordable products, which were until now only offered with higher-end premium products from various brands, MG might not wish to be left behind and bring as many possible features to beat the competition.
