Upcoming Skoda Cars in India
Skoda has been in India for quite a while and their focus has been on developing sedans. Looking at the shift in the Market they have started developing SUVs. So what other cars are they working on for 2021. This is a list of Upcoming Skoda Cars for 2021
Skoda Kushaq
The Kushaq is a SUVs that has been developed specially for India. The name too has been taken from Sanskrit and means king. It will have 1.0-litre 3 cylinder petrol engine along with a 1.5-litre 4 cylinder TSI engine. There is no diesel on offer. The smaller 1.0-litre engine is expected to deliver 120 bhp where as the 1.5-litre is expected to deliver 150 bhp.
Pricing and Size-wise this will be a Hyundai Creta rival and is expected to come with a lot of features. The Skoda Kushaq might bear a price tag of approximate Rs 10 lakhs and might go up to 18 lakhs for the top most variant. Other Upcoming Skoda Cars does not currently include the locally made Karoq but it might comes as a CBU as the previous car did good.
Skoda Octavia
Currently Skoda has 3 sedans in its lineup and the Octavia VRS is one of them. The Skoda Octavia VRS was a CBU and has been completely sold. The new generation of the Skoda Octavia will arrive in the second quarter of this year. This car will be placed quite perfectly between the Rapid and Superb.
New Gen-Skoda Octavia will be slightly bigger in the size and dimensions and will have all the current new features. There were rumors of this car to be launched during first quarter of 2021 but now it seems like the launched has been pushed for the second quarter. The Skoda Octavia VRS was priced at Rs 45 lakhs and this new generation car will also be priced at Rs 15 to 20 lakhs.
Skoda Kodiaq
Skoda Kodiaq was a SUV that was in Skoda lineup in the BS4 era. The company discontinued it during BS6 and did you put out any replacement for it. The car was available in 4×4 avatar and was a successful product for the company. We are expecting this car to launch this year with a BS6 engine.
The Kodiaq is expected to launch with an approximate price tag of Rs 33 to 38 lakhs. This SUV is expected to get both petrol as well as diesel engine both 2.0-litre. This launch might take place in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
New Sedan
Recently Zac Hollis tweeted about Skoda working on a new sedan that will be positioned above the Skoda rapid. This might be last among the upcoming Skoda cars for 2021. Could this be the comeback of the Laura name? Know more at Skoda NEW SEDAN
