We know that Jeep is readying a all new 7 seater to launch in multiple markets and it will be based on the brand’s ‘new small wide’ platform that came in 2017. This platform underpins the Jeep Compass which has been a solid seller in India since its launch here. But here we have spotted the car testing in these spyshots from Brazil. So what can we understand about the New Jeep Compass 7 seater? Let’s find out.
New Jeep Compass 7 seater Design
The cars seen here are the H6 (code-name for Compass 7 seater) and the 2022 Jeep Compass which will come next year in a updated avatar. Now visually and with the nature of the side shot, its easy to make out in the picture that the new Jeep Compass 7 seater is a little longer than the car ahead of it which is the new Compass due next year. The car has a longer waistline which understandably is running under the quater glass right to the c-pillar of the vehicle. The wheelbase is looking identical and it should be as the cars are based on the same platform and will help keep costs down. The design of both cars look similar from the b-pillar ahead of the a-pillar and till the hood of both cars.
The differences at the rear will be massive as the roof will be longer and taller to occupy the third row. The car will also get a different tailgate and the taillamps will be similar to the 5 seater Compass but could have ends meeting at the center of the tailgate. The new Jeep Compass 7 seater could also get bigger 18-inch tyres.

Specifications and Features
While its too early to predict dimensions, capacities and unique features that will come with the car, we think some that could come and will be borrowed from the 5 seater Compass. The 2.0-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol with their manual and automatic gearbox options will come with this car too. We expect the same four wheel drive system and also better ground clearance. There is a possibility to keep up with the increase in 7 seater with their features in India, the car could also get advanced and autonomous driver assist programs like lane assist, park assist and adaptive cruise control. Apart from that we expect basic features like charging slots and air-con vents on the third row which can fold flat if need be.
Other than that, all features that are present on the current facelifted Compass and will come on the 2022 car should come on the Jeep H6 as well.

Launch and Competition
The new Jeep Compass 7 seater will most likely come next year in 2022. The car will compete in the segment which is just growing now. There will be the Hector Plus, Tata Safari, the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra XUV500. One other car in the price range will be – the Toyota Innova which has been a traditional 7 seater MPV choice for Indian families for sometime now.
