This is the base variant of Tata Safari 2021 in India. This variant costs Rs. 17.82 lakh (On-road Mumbai)It comes with all the standard safety features and also includes projector headlamps, electronic stability control, hill start assist and traction control. Additional features on the base variant include Tilt and telescopic steering, 2nd-row recline and 60:40 split, 3rd row AC vents with 50:50 split and rear chargers.
You also get Dual function daytime running lights, R16 styled steel wheels and roof rails. Rollover mitigation, Corner Stability Control, Brake Disc Wiping, Rear Disc brakes and Day/Night IRVM are advanced safety features with the SUV. Many features are also missing in this variant of the car.
The Tata Safari XM variant comes with all the similar features compared to the XE variant. This variant costs Rs.19.42 lakh (On-road Mumbai) For the extra price you get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering mounted controls, rear wiper, remote central locking, height-adjustable driver seat and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Additional features on this variant include fog lamps, multi-drive modes. Readers should also note that the infotainment system with this variant does not support Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Safari XT and XT+
The Tata Safari 2021 XT variant comes with TPMS, Rear parking camera, Electrically foldable ORVMs, Cruise Control and connected car tech.

Better safety features in this variant include HID projector headlamps, Cornering lamps, Side and Curtain airbags, Hill descent control, ISOFIX and Electronic Parking brake with Auto Hold. This variant costs Rs. 23.15 lakh (On-road Mumbai)The new 2021 Tata Safari XZ variant also comes with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with JBL audio system with amplifier and sub-woofers.
Additional features in this variant also include dual-tone interior, leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shark-fin antenna, R18 machined alloy wheels, and terrain response modes.
This is the top variant of the 2021 Tata Safari. This variant costs Rs. 24.15 lakh. (On-road Mumbai) For the additional price over Safari XZ, you get a panoramic sunroof, and an option for Captain seats too.
There is also a special Adventure Persona edition only with the Safari XZ+ variant. For Rs. 20,000 extra, you get a black front grille, grey alloys and black roof-rails along with black inserts in the interiors. This will only be a cosmetic enhancement to the SUV.
