The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio is expected to come with Connected Car Tech. Sunroof
The Scorpio is expected to get a sunroof in its latest iteration, which is a much sought-after feature these days. Adding a sunroof to a car gives the cabin a much premium feel along with adding functionality. The Thar does not get the sunroof on the other hand.
7-seat seating layout
The upcoming Scorpio is expected to be offered as a 6-seater along with the option of a 7-seat layout. With the 6-seater, the Scorpio is expected to come with the captain seats which will enhance the overall look of the cabin. The 3rd-row seats on the Scorpio will be front-facing in order to comply with the high safety standards.
3rd-row AC vents & Charging ports
The Thar comes as a 5-seater seating layout. With the upcoming Scorpio to be offered as a 6/7 seater, it is expected to get 3rd-row AC vents and charging ports for the added convenience of the last row passengers. Blower control is also expected to be offered with the extra AC vents at the rear.
Front parking sensors
The Thar misses front parking sensors, however, it gets rear parking sensors for the added safety of the vehicle as well as nearby pedestrians while reversing or parking in tight spots. The upcoming Scorpio on the other side is expected to be offered with front parking sensors also, along with the rear parking sensors.
Mahindra Scorpio vs Thar Similarities
The platform which underpins the Thar will also be seen underpinning the Mahindra Scorpio. Also, features like touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and cruise control, which we get to see on the Thar will be made available with the Scorpio as well.
