New Skoda Kushaq – All You Need to Know!
The Skoda brand is bringing multiple products this year, with some being totally new products and some getting fresh upgrades. One product from the Skoda lineup is the Kushaq, a product specifically made for India. We recently spotted a test mule of the car being tested in Pune. In this article, we will discuss everything you need to know about the new Skoda Kushaq.
Design
The upcoming Skoda Kushaq is designed as a sporty-looking car in order to attract the young crowd. The test-mule can be seen sporting alloy wheels which are different from the one shown in the Auto Expo. Moreover, the headlight on the test-mule is a slim and sleek unit, similar to the Kushaq which was shown in the Auto Expo 2020. The test-mule can also be seen sporting halogen fog-lamps just under the headlight unit.
The Kushaq is sure to take the compact SUV segment by storm due to its sharp design and modern elements.
Interior
The interior of the Skoda Kushaq is expected to be very modern looking as well. Dual-tone interiors with not-so-standard colours are expected. The dashboard is also expected to be a major point of attraction. A sleek dashboard with some unique elements similar to the Auto Expo model is expected to come on the production car as well.
We expect Skoda to bring something special and unique on the inside with the upcoming Kushaq.
Features
On the feature front, Skoda is expected to get all the modern features which will be needed to rival the competitors. Touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, premium sound system, ventilated seats, cruise control and other such features are expected. The car is also expected to be loaded with safety features as that is a major talk-point amongst buyers these days.
Engine & Transmission
The Skoda Kushaq is expected to come with two engine options, a 1.0-litre and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. The engines are expected to come mated with manual and automatic gearboxes, with the 1.5-litre engine possibly offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Pricing & Launch
The pricing of the new Skoda Kushaq is expected to be kept very competitive. The possibility of this happening is also very high since the Kushaq will be heavily-localised which directly would reduce overall costs. We expect the pricing to be between Rs 10 Lakh and Rs 15 Lakh.
The company has recently announced that the Kushaq will finally debut on the 18th of March. The final prices are expected to be revealed after that.
