Tata Motors has been testing a new product for quite some time now with spy shots getting circulated once in a while. The product is a micro SUV and is waiting for a launch sometime this year. Now, the news in the market is that the micro SUV code-named HBX could be launched in the market as the Tata Timero. In this article, we will discuss this upcoming Tata Rs 5 Lakh SUV.
Design
The upcoming micro-SUV will be based on the Impact 2.0 design language which Tata has been using on all its other current products. With the Impact 2.0, the SUV will be seen sporting tri-arrow elements all-over it. The overall look of the headlights will be inspired by the Harrier and the upcoming Safari. The vehicle will be sporty-looking in order to attract more number of customers.
Interiors
The Timero will be seen carrying forward the tri-arrow elements to the interior as well. The seating upholstery along with the dashboard might be highlighted with tri-arrows. The vehicle will be seen sporting a floating touchscreen infotainment system, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and a semi-digital instrument cluster on the inside. The SUV would sport a modern-look on the interior as well.
Engine & Transmission
The upcoming micro-SUV is expected to be powered by the 1.2-litre petrol engine which we get to see on the Tata Altroz. Tata might bring in a turbo-petrol engine for the Timero in a similar fashion to what was done with the Altroz. The success of this micro-SUV will decide the future of more engine options coming to this vehicle.
The micro-SUV is expected to come with manual and AMT gearbox options.
Features
The Timero is expected to be loaded with features in order to make it on par with the rivals. Connected car tech, inbuilt navigation with turn-by-turn commands and ambient lighting are some of the modern features expected with this product. Rear AC vents and front and rear passenger armrests are some other convenience features expected with it.
