As it is clear from the table above, the Renault Kiger is the cheapest compact-SUV against the competition. Compared to Nissan, Renault has launched their product with more aggressive pricing. The Ford EcoSport surprisingly has become the costliest product in the segment. With a starting price tag of Rs. 9.46 lakh, it is out of reach for a majority of budget buyers.

Engine and Performance

The Renault Kiger is available with two engine options: 1.0-litre 72bhp naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre 100bhp turbo petrol engine. 5-speed manual gearbox engine is standard with both the engines. The 72bhp engine comes with an AMT transmission option while the 100bhp comes with a CVT transmission option.  ARAI claimed mileage of the turbo-petrol manual is said to be 20 km/l. Different drive modes like Normal, Eco and Sports are also available with the higher trims of the turbo petrol engine.
