The small SUV is expected to be offered with a plethora of options, similar to what Hyundai does with its products. Petrol engines are expected to be mated to manual as well as automatic gearboxes. A diesel engine on this product would take the market by storm if Hyundai decides to do so.
Features
Features on the small SUV are expected to be similar to what Hyundai offers with the Venue and Creta. A touchscreen infotainment system, Hyundai’s connected car tech, the Blue Link and a premium sound system are expected. The brand might also pull in safety features like airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and such other elements to make the car safe since that is the major concern of Indian buyers these days.
Competition
The upcoming Rs 5 Lakh SUV by Hyundai will be placed below the Venue to fill in the gap where it does not have a smaller compact SUV in its lineup. The competition for the small Venue will be Tata’s upcoming HBX, which is also expected to launch in the country this year.
