1) Hyundai Verna
Starting things off is the mid-size sedan segment. Hyundai Verna is quite a popular and premium choice in its segment. The Diesel Hyundai Verna 2021 costs between Rs. 12.96 lakh and Rs. 18.26 lakh (On-road Mumbai). It comes with a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi Diesel engine which produces 113.42bhp/4000rpm. The 1493cc engine is also capable of producing 250.06Nm/1500-2750rpm. You get both manual and automatic transmission option with this sedan. ARAI claimed mileage of 25.00 km/l is also present.
2) Tata Nexon
The sub-compact SUV segment is the most famous segment and the Nexon is one of the safest there. 2021 Diesel Tata Nexon costs between Rs. 10.09 lakh and Rs. 15.38 lakh (On-road Mumbai). It also comes with a 1.5-litre Revotorq Turbocharged Diesel engine which produces 108.50bhp/4000rpm. The 1497cc engine produces 260Nm/1500-2750rpm. 3) Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta is the “Baadshah” of the Indian SUV segment. No SUV comes close to Hyundai Creta in terms of popularity and sales number. Despite being an expensive car, it is the best selling car of Hyundai in India. Hyundai Creta Diesel costs between Rs. 12.44 lakh and Rs. 20.98 lakh (On-road Mumbai). It comes with both manual and automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre CRDi Diesel engine similar to the Verna produces 113.42bhp/4000rpm. The 1493cc engine on the Creta is capable of 242.2Nm/1500-3200rpm. ARAI claimed mileage of 21.40 km/l is claimed by the company.
4) Mahindra Marazzo
The MPV segment is slowly losing its bling with the entry of SUVs in India. However, there are a lot of new car buyers who want more space at an affordable cost. The MPV segment is perfect for them. The Mahindra Marazzo only comes with a Diesel engine option and costs between Rs. 14.02 lakh and Rs. 16.56 lakh (On-road Mumbai). The 1497cc Diesel engine produces 121bhp/3500rpm and 300Nm/1750-2500rpm. The Mahindra Marazzo also comes only with a 6-speed manual transmission.
