Tata Tiago NRG Facelift Expectations
The Tata Tiago was a great value-for-money product when it was first launched in the country. A diesel engine and sporty looks attracted the customers, but Tata did not update the Tiago for BS6 compliance. Some time ago, spy shots of a Tiago with similar looks to the NRG was spotted testing. We believe Tata is ready to bring the Tiago NRG back. In this article, we will discuss what we expect to see on the new Tiago NRG.
Exterior
2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift- what will it offer?The NRG is expected to come with similar looks to what the NRG originally had. Black body cladding, functional roof rails and black door handles are expected to be retained with the new Tiago NRG as well. With Tata now using its Impact 2.0 design in all its cars, we expect to see the front grille with the tri-arrow pattern as well. Moreover, tri-arrow highlights could be added on to the body with body-graphics as well. Newly designed alloy wheels and LED DRLs are also expected.
Interior
Tri-arrow theme is expected to continue in the interior as well. Seats and dashboard with tri-arrow patterns are expected. A touchscreen infotainment system, as well as iRA Connected Car Tech, might also be added. To up the premium feel in the interior, music system by Harman might be offered.
Safety & Features
In the safety department, reverse parking camera with sensors, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and dual airbags could be offered. The Tiago NRG is also expected to maintain the safety standards which the regular Tiago comes with. To make the ride more comfortable, automatic climate control might be on offer.
Engine & Performance
The Tiago NRG facelift will come powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that could produce 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. Petrol AMT is a thing which we might see in the upcoming NRG. Driving modes with ECO and CITY as the modes might be offered to make the product more user-friendly.
Launch
We expect the 2021 Tiago NRG to launch sometime during the second half of this year. We expect it to be priced between Rs 4.8 Lakhs to Rs 7 Lakhs, and it will sit below the upcoming HBX micro-SUV in Tata’s lineup.
