New Design
The EcoSport has been the same since its introduction in the country with some minor changes here and there. After these many years, the Ford EcoSport actually needs a fresh look to make it stand out from the crowd, and give the buyers a sense of modernity. Although we expect the 2022 Ford EcoSport to be a facelift, if the company decides to introduce a new generation Ford EcoSport globally, the company might also bring the new-gen model to India as well.
More Space
The EcoSport has been a great product overall but some negatives surely pull it down. One key element is the 2nd-row seating space. Ford EcoSport although being a 5-seater fails to comfortably accommodate 3 adults in the 2nd-row. The 2022 Ford EcoSport might get a wider seating space for a much more comfortable family trip.
Improved Tech on all trims
The 2022 Ford EcoSport might see improved tech features even on the lower trims like Android Auto and Apple Car Play on offering with every trim available with a touch-screen infotainment system which is currently not the case with the EcoSport even after the 2021 update.
Automatic Affordability
The major downside of the current EcoSport is a single trim only on offering for the Automatic variant. The top model which is the Titanium S is offered with a manual gearbox only, which should have also been provided with the automatic. We hope that the 2022 Ford EcoSport will be offered with multiple trims for the automatic gearbox to give the customers a variety to choose from.
Diesel Automatic
The 2022 Ford EcoSport might be introduced with a Diesel Automatic on offer which has not been done until now, with all the competitors already offering their products with the same.
The 2022 Ford EcoSport might launch in the country by Q2 2022 after its earlier introduction in Brazil domain later this year.
