The Tata Harrier is perfectly designed from all the different angles. The stance of the vehicle is impressive and won’t provide you with room to complain. Dimensions of this car are quite similar to the Discovery Sport. The body proportions too are quite similar to the Land Rover. This car has been made on the brand’s Impact 2.0 Design. It is also based on the Omega ARC platform which is influenced by Land Rover. Surprisingly the Tata Harrier is quite ahead of Tucson in terms of overall dimensions. You are getting a larger car for a cheaper price.
No major exterior changes have been made on the Hyundai Tucson facelift. The facelift does come with a new version of front grille which Hyundai dubs as ‘Cascading grille’, new headlamps and taillamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers to help differentiate from its predecessor.

Harrier interiors include redesigned ORVMs, touchscreen system with multiple colour options, panaromic sunroof and premium interiors are welcome additions. Build quality is the best in segment from Tata. Safety is also a major strong point for Tata and this car comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and 14 ESP functions. IRVM has also been converted to automatic from manual.
Tucson’s interiors may seem more changed on the first look. A new dashboard design with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Hyundai’s BlueLink app are some of the major additions. Wireless smartphone charger, panoramic sunroof and electric front passenger seat adjustment features may be reserved for the top-spec variant.

ESP on Harrier
The Harrier may not have an AWD drivetrain option right now but Tata has made sure that this does not hold the SUV back. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) on the Harrier comes with a number of safety aids and traction modes. To be precise, the ESP on the Harrier has a total of 11 functions, ranging from hill descent control and hill hold to off-road ABS, cornering stability control and brake disc wiping. This is something that the competitions like the Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500 does not even come remotely close to.
