The India-bound Volkswagen Beetle is almost ready for launch and we have all the details on it thanks to the brochure that has leaked online. As expected, Volkswagen will be bringing in the top-spec Beetle to our shores. The car comes fully loaded with all the latest features on-board. The overall design continues in the same iconic silhouette that is instantly recognizable the world over. Volkswagen have given it a range of subtle styling updates and the new-Beetle sports a muscular stance that looks more purposeful than before.

The new-Beetle gets bi-xenon headlamps, the ORVMS are power-operated and the alloys are 16-inchers. There’s also a redesigned spoiler and fog lamps at the front.

On the inside, the India-bound Beetle is to come with a dual-zone automatic climate control system as standard. The infotainment system gets a touch-screen display. Volkswagen have also kitted the new-Beetle with a panoramic glass roof.

In addition to all this, the car also gets an auto-dimming rear view mirror and leather upholstery with heated front seats.

4 litre quad-cylinder TSI motor that’s good for 147 bhp. Mated to a seven-speed DSG gearbox, the car will also come with paddle shifters on the steering wheel as standard. Volkswagen have chosen to bring in the new-Beetle via the CBU route and prices are expected to be under the INR 40 Lakh mark (on-road).
