Maruti Magnite Competition – Reasons Why?
Magnite might have been disrupting the market with it aggressive pricing but the segment it has entered is not threatened. The cars in the Compact Segment offer much higher quality and have reasonably higher price for that. What we think might be threatened are the cars in the segment below. This is where Maruti comes in. Maruti as a highest selling brand has most of its high selling products in the 5 to 10 lakh range. This is where they have different types of hatchbacks. This might be the main reason why we would speculate the Maruti Magnite competition as there is a need for Maruti to have a product as a Rival to the Magnite.
Why not Brezza?
What increases the possibility of Maruti Baleno Turbo?
If we look at the Nisan Magnite and its segment competitor from Maruti, the currently it is the Brezza. The Brezza is superior than the Magnite in all aspects. But that has also lead to a significant price hike.

Which Maruti Cars are threatened?
Currently the numbers of the sales of Magnite do not threaten directly. But from a customers point of view you will see that the price of Magnite comes close to a lot of hatchbacks. The price of the Swift and Ignis comes close the price of the Magnite. Although the buyer of the Swift might not migrate but the Ignis buyer might.
What magnite has in its favour is the sharper design which is also new in the market. Purchasing a car in this segment is a mostly a long term purchase. People consider things like exclusivity of design.
Maruti has resale and reliability in its favour but that does but those are intangible things and can be overlooked over the fancy features that are there in the brochure of the Nissan Magnite. With the Spresso Maruti has not created a very positive notions in the Market and they need a car to revive the Ignis or replace it with a Maruti Magnite Competition.
What we Expect?
In this Maruti Magnite Competition we are expecting some of the connected car features. It should have a taller stance and bigger wheels. The space might be slightly bigger than the Swift. It could be offered with the new hybrid tech. Although Maruti has declared that it will not invest in developing a diesel engine for smaller cars if this car gets a diesel engine it will kill a lot of products in the market. As of now there are very less diesel option in the market and if any manufacture provides then it basically will experience monopoly effect.
