Renault has been developing the 1.0-litre Kwid engine, codenamed as B4D and it is almost ready to be launched. This new engine will help Renault to make the Kwid compete with the Alto K10 and  the Hyundai Eon 1.0 as well. The Renault Kwid is currently powered by a 800cc petrol engine that churns about 52bhp of power and the new engine will be producing about 65bhp of power.

Renault is currently having a huge waiting on the Kwid and this is one reason why it won’t be introducing the Kwid 1.0-litre anytime soon. There are plans to get the Kwid AMT as well, but at the moment the French automaker is working towards increasing its production capacity. The Renault Kwid will also be coming with a more powerful engine for those looking at even highway driving.

The Renault Kwid is offered with several first-in class features like touch-screen system with navigation, bluetooth connectivity etc.

It has a boot space of 300 litres and a ground clearance of 180mm, which is the best-in its class again.

The French automaker will leave no stone unturned with the new Kwid and it will carry on to introduce more products on the CMF-A platform.
