Upcoming Alto 2022 – What to Expect?
Maruti Alto is a product for the company that connects it with the masses. Apart from being the most affordable Maruti car it is also a the first car that comes to the minds of the people when they consider buying a car for the first time. We are expecting the company to update the Alto for 2022 and here are the expectations that we have with the Upcoming Alto 2022.
LED Lights
The Upcoming Alto 2022 is expected to have LED light or at least daytime running strips on both lights. This being the trend in the automotive industry we expect even the Alto to get it.
Along with that the Alto 2022 will also have get a design update as the design now is a bit dated. We are expecting a lower headlight setup as seen in Kwid with the DRL flanked above it. Or it could have inserts of DRLs inside the headlight assembly.
Whatever be the change Maruti will consider cost of production in it and will try to minimize it as much as possible.
Safety Improvements
Safety was the least safe of all Maruti cars. Although this car will not be safe as the GNCAP cars the Maruti Alto will get basic safety features as standard in the update. It will have airbags and seatbelts standard. The reverse parking sensors will be given as standard and we are expecting a camera as optional or at the most on the top variant.
There are chances that the new Alto will be based on the HEARTECT platform.
Other New Features
Digital features will include a good touchscreen on the topmost variant. This if given will be the same system like the one you seen in the WagonR which gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
In terms of exterior we might see alloy wheels on the car for the first time. We are not sure about this car to get an AMT gearbox. If Maruti develops a technology that is similar to iMT and can be offered at a lower price then we might see it on the Upcoming Alto 2022.
The philosophy with the Upcoming Alto 2022 will be simple. Whatever features it might be expected will be based on the necessity depending on the price it adds. The company will not compromise on its low cost offering USP.
