Upcoming Electric Scooters in 2021
Scooter have been one of the top choice for daily city runs. Scooters being practical also provide space for luggage and have a comfortable riding posture. But with the increasing petrol prices it is becoming a bit less practical. Here the electric scooter becomes a perfect replacement. Here are a few Upcoming Electric Scooter which we might see in 2021.
Suzuki Burgman Electric
The electric Burgman is expected with a range of about 80 to 75 kms. The Suzuki Burgman will have an all digital instrument cluster. It wont be same as the current generation and will look more futuristic owing to this scooter being electric.
Along with that the Burgman being larger in dimensions will have a lot of space to accommodate batteries for longer range. Other than that the absence of the electric motor will lead to more under seat space.
We are expecting Suzuki to put the batteries in the footboard of the scooter. This will result in a better handling but also an increased weight.
Activa Electric
Honda is expected to come up with an electric scooter soon. Now we are expecting Honda to call it the Activa Electric as the Activa name has a very good brand value.
The range is expected to be about 90 to 100 kms. The range would be their main focus while the speed and acceleration is expected to not be the top priority.
The pricing will be on the higher side but the product is expected to have reliability as seen on the Honda Activa.
Vespa Elettrica
The scooter will come as a CBU product. Being a CBU it will cost more than the other competitors. This won’t be a problem as Vespa has always been the iPhone of two-wheelers. The Vespa Elettrica is expected to hit a price of Rs 1.5 lakhs. Whereas the competition is placed at Rs 1 lakh. This pricer electric scooter won’t offer much more than the premiumness for the extra cost. Also, the Vespa Badge might be related to art but the audience for that badge is not there in high numbers in India.
