Unveil Date
Citroen was all set to begin its India entry with the C5 Aircross SUV around mid-2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic saw those plans put on hold. Now, the carmaker has announced that the premium midsize SUV will be unveiled on February 1. It will be locally assembled in India at Citroen’s Thiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu. Dimensions and Platform
The Citroen C5 Aircross is based on Groupe PSA’s EMP2 platform, which is also used by other brands in foreign markets like Peugeot and DS Automobiles. The SUV measures 4,500 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, stands 1,670 mm tall, has a 2,730 mm long wheelbase and 230 mm of ground clearance
Modern interiors
A notable cabin highlight is the presence of split AC vents. The European model is also loaded with features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, as well as front seats with heating and massage function. Safety kit consists of multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and front and rear parking sensors.
Engine and Performance
