Royal Enfield has just made a mark by launching the Meteor which has fixed a lot of issues with other RE bikes. The Meteor is built completely on customer feed back and the bike has turned out to be good. Although there are some places where this bike lacks still but Royal Enfield is not going to limit this sucess to one bike. We have spotted the RE Classic 350 on test, completely undisguised. And here are our expectation from the upcoming RE Classic 350.

New Frame

Although there is a new engine with reduced vibration and counter balancers the split J-Type frame is responsible to cut down most of the vibrations. This new frame is a good and has better stability and weight management. The Meteor is better manageable at low speeds and the bike has gained agility.

Royal Enfield classic

The upcoming RE Classic 350 if gets this frame then the issue of heaviness of the bike will be solved. Also the new frame results in better high speed stability but the engine is not a high revving motor yet.

New Engine

The new 350cc motor with SOHC setup instead of pushrods will be used on this new Royal Enfield. It will have better power delivery and fuel efficiency. This new motor is expected to make about 20 bhp of power and 24 Nm of torque. Also this new motor come with a oil cylinder head cooler which keeps the engine significantly cooler on long runs.

The gearing will also be change but there won’t be a 6th gear. Royal Enfield should have given the bike a 6th gear as the 5-speed gearbox is kind of a bummer while cruising on highway.

New Colours

Although the classic has got new colours very recently, Royal Enfield might not stray far from launching even more colours. They might launch some premium pain schemes to fit along side the matte black. You can know more about the 2 new colours recently introduced on the RE Classic 350.

Design Changes

As the bike has been seen completely undisguised, the design changes are clearly visible. The tank and the front end retain the Classic 350 look. Only change are the delete to the spring under the seat and the new set of tail lights that seem to have been derived from the RE Meteor.

Over all the Upcoming RE Classic 350 will have these changes for sure. Other than that we are expecting the switch gears and instrument cluster to change.
