The Tata Gravitas is a seven-seat derivative of the Harrier, but is meant to be more than just a Harrier with an additional row of seats. The Gravitas is 63mm longer and 80mm taller than the Harrier even though both SUVs share the same wheelbase of 2,741mm. Tata Gravitas was already showcased during Auto Expo 2020 and is slated for launch in January 2021.

The Gravitas shares its styling with the Harrier till the B-pillar, after which it has unique design with a longer rear overhang and a stepped roof to accommodate the third row. Additionally, the seven-seater will also get unique alloy wheel designs and colour palettes to differentiate it further from the Harrier.

Recently, India has become obsessed with high powered engines in smaller machines. The premium hatchback segment has some great turbo petrol cars in the form of Polo and new i20. However expensive pricing may seem a barrier. The new 2021 Tata Altroz Turbo Petrol is expected to be more powerful yet cheaper than competition. Tata has announced the launch of a new Altroz variant on January 13, 2021. The variant in question will most certainly be the Tata Altroz turbo petrol which will be equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor. The launch of the new variant will also be accompanied by the introduction of a new Marina Blue exterior colour.

Jeep Compass Facelift

Jeep Compass is fairly popular SUV in India. The international market has already received a facelift of the car some months ago. While the facelift is not very different, Jeep will launch it in January 2021 in India. In terms of styling, the Jeep Compass facelift will feature revised headlights with integrated LED DRLs, an updated seven-slat grille with honeycomb-like inserts, a new front bumper with a tweaked faux skid plate and a larger air dam with new fog light housings. A big change to the interior will be the restyled dashboard with a new floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and new AC vents and HVAC controls that are positioned below it. The new touchscreen will come with FCA’s UConnect 5 infotainment system and is likely to feature integrated Amazon Alexa support, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and receive over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Fortuner Legender

Toyota has confirmed that the Fortuner facelift will launch in India on January 6, 2021. It seems like the facelifted model will be available in two broad trims: standard and the more premium Legender, as seen on the Thai-spec model. The Legender was spotted testing during a TVC shoot, ahead of its possible January launch.

The Toyota Fortuner Legender will get several styling upgrades for a refreshed look. Its nose is entirely new with a smaller mesh grille, more aggressive bumpers, a larger air intake, revised fog lamp housing, bi-LED projector headlamps, and a small skid plate. The front profile seems sharper and sportier than the facelifted model.
