Honda will be launching its new motorcycle the CB Hornet 160R in the Indian market on 19th November. After being a leader in the scooter segment, Honda now wants a larger share of the motorcycle segment.

This is for the first time the sub-brand ‘Hornet’ will be used for a smaller capacity bike from Honda, as the Hornet was associated with bikes above 250cc.

The Honda CB Hornet 160R will be powered by a 160cc, single-cylinder engine which is the same unit that does duty on the CB Unicorn. The engine has a maximum power output of 14.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 14.61Nm of peak torque.new-honda-cb-hornet-160r-2The Honda CB Hornet 160R is inspired from the CX-01 concept that was showcased at the  2014 Auto Expo. The bike has a muscular fuel tank and is sharp looking.

It has a digital instrument cluster, Wave Disc with CBS, dual tone shade front mudguard and one piece seat.

The Honda CB Hornet 160R will compete with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache, Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and Yamaha FZ.
