Hyundai changed the exteriors of the Santro in 2018 and it is time now for a new update. The new Santro facelift can be expected to get new front bumpers, grille, rear bumpers and side skirts. Hyundai may also add a strong straight line to the car to make it look sportier. LED DRLs with projector headlamps in the top variant of the car is also highly probable.  New alloy wheel designs may also be provided for a fresh new look to the car.

Better Safety

The Hyundai Santro tested by Global NCAP in 2019 only scored 2-star safety rating. To keep up with the industry standards, Hyundai may improve the safety of the car. Dual airbags, ISOFIX and other standard safety features can be expected from the base variant itself. The Tata Tiago which costs a little more, comes with 4-star GNCAP rating.

New Interiors

The Hyundai Santro already comes with modern interiors but the facelift will certainly add better new features. Wireless Android Auto and Apple Car play can be expected in the facelift. Better seat upholstery in the higher-spec variants is also a probability. Hyundai may also provide the Santro with connected car tech, making it segment-first and the cheapest of the lot.  Engine Push Start/Stop button feature will also be a useful inclusion.

Engine and Price

Hyundai may keep the engine and transmission options same as the present generation BS6 Hyundai Santro. The Hyundai Santro has 1 Petrol Engine on offer. CNG variant is also available. The Petrol engine is 1086 cc. It is available with the Manual & Automatic transmission. Depending upon the variant and fuel type the Santro has a mileage of 20.3 kmpl to 30.48 km/kg.
