Nissan has recently introduced the Magnite in the Indian market. The price is yet to come but in the international market, the Micra Facelift has been creating flashing news. So what is special about the Nissan Micra Facelift? Does it still have a place in the Indian Market? What is the biggest changed?

The Nissan Micra facelift has main design change. It has become sharper and looks much sportier than before. The previous model of the Micra was a bit bulbous and had a lot of curves on its body which made it look somewhat adorable. It was not really a car that looked sporty and had a special place in Nissan’s portfolio in India.

The 2021 Nissan Micra has a new 1.0-litre turbocharged engine. This downsizing has been done to make the car Euro6 compliant which also makes it BS6 complaint. This new petrol engine gives 98 bhp of power and 160 Nm of torque. The car gets a manual transmission and along with that, there is a 6 Speed CVT with Xtronic gearbox.

Interesting Tech

The Nissan Micra Facelift will be quite modern with the basic stuff like the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Along with that, there are a few smart bits on the Micara which makes its safer and enhances the in-cabin experience. The Intelligent Around View Monitor gives a virtual 360-degree birds-eye view of the car. This comes as a standard fitment on the Micra Facelift. Along with this on the N-Sport variant, the Micra gets LED lights as standard, and the Tekna variant comes with Bose speakers in the headrest of the driver for high-quality sound.

The car comes in 4 variants – Visia, Acenta, N-Sport, and Tekna. There is no diesel engine on the Micra Facelift. This might be due to Euro6 emission norms. Developing a BS6 compliant diesel engine increases cost considerably and this might make the Nissan Micra Facelift very expensive.

Coming to the part of India launch, the Micra Facelift might not come to India as of now. With magnite being their recently launched product the company will continue to strengthen the brands service and image in the country.

Whether there is the place for the Micra Facelift in the Indian market, there is no certain answer for this. As of now, Nissan has not introduced this car for India but the previous place of the micra has not been filled by any other product in the Nissan Product.
