Mahindra S101 interiors spied again

Mahindra is getting ready for the launch of its compact crossover codenamed S101 which has been spied once again, this time with a clear image on the interiors from another angle. The new interior image shows the dashboard layout and steering wheel.

The compact crossover gets lots of chrome at different places and this spy pic seems to be from the top end version. The centre console gets rectangular air-conditioner vents, vertical chromed dials with piano black accent. The door panels also feature piano black and silver inserts. The infotainment system that houses a small display can be clearly seen. The instrument cluster is similar to the XUV500. The centre console has a manual gear lever housed within. There will also be an AMT variant available.

The S101 is clearly targeting first-time car buyers and will be an affordable product for those who need a compact vehicle with high ground clearance. The pricing of the Mahindra S101 will be about INR 5.5-8 lakhs (on-road). It is almost as big as the Swift, however it will have higher ground clearance. The vehicle will have high ground clearance and powerful and fuel-efficient engines. The S101 will see forthcoming competition from the Maruti Ignis compact crossover car.
