In a recent tweet, Suzuki has teased the V-Strom. They have not mentioned if it is going to be the 650 for sure and this leads to a considerable doubt of it being the 250. So here are our expectation about the Suzuki V-Strom 250. Before we get to that let’s just get to the tweet and find more about the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom.

2020 Suzuki V-Strom tweet

In the tweet, Suzuki just quotes that life’s greatest adventures is around the corner. This is also mentioned in the video which also shows the top half of the Suzuki V-Strom. There are very less changes on the bike and the fact that the lower engine part of the bike is now visible leads to the doubt that this might be a 250cc bike.

Take a look at the video embedded in the tweet and let us know in the comments what you think, which bike would Suzuki reveal.

Why 650?

Suzuki released a teaser of the V-Strom 650 XT BS6 in April. They would have launched it back then but due to the Covid-19 situation, there was a delay in the launch of the 650 XT. If it is the 650 then why would Suzuki not just launch it like the other BS6 bike they launched.

Also in the 650cc segment, the V-Strom needs no introduction It is a very capable machine and at a price tag of Rs 7.29 lakhs, this would make for a great middleweight ADV bike. Talking about ADVs KTM has launched the Adventure 250 recently. Let us know what you would like to know about that bike and which comparisons you would like to see.

Why 250?

With the increase in the 250cc segment bikes, Suzuki might also think of entering the adventure segment. Having a 250cc engine at their disposal from the Gixxer 250 makes things even more probable for an adventure style bike. Also classic bike and Adventure bikes are the hot topic for 2020 and are expected to be for the next year too.

If at all this is the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 250 then it would come with the same engine but a slight torque tune. There would be changes to the rear sprocket and also to the gear ratios. Lastly, we do not expect Suzuki to not do the same things as they did with the Intruder 150. Using the exact same underpinnings and changing the body panels might not work for the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 250.
