One of the most awaited motorcycles, the Himalayan from Royal Enfield has been spotted testing once again. This time we get to see a likely new variant of the motorcycle.

Sources suggest that there may be more variants too, however what we see as of now is just a test mule, which has some difference to the one seen earlier. While the first variant is an adventure bike with long forks and a raised mudguard at the front, the test mule seen here has regular forks and a regular mudguard. Both bikes have the same mono-shock at the rear and an identical exhaust. Enfield is right now exploring various possibilities for variants and nothing has been finalized yet.

The Himalayan has a new oil-cooled, single cylinder, four stroke 410 cc motor that produces 29 bhp of maximum power and 32 Nm of peak torque. This will be a 410cc engine, which has been designed for the upcoming RE motorcycles and it will be replacing the currently sold 350cc engines. The bike will also sport a a 6-speed gearbox. Rear wheel measures 18 inches and the front wheel is 21 inches. The Himalayan will also be the first bike from Royal Enfield to feature a monoshock.

The bike may see a launch in early 2016 and is expected to be showcased at the RERM (Royal Enfield Rider Mania) in Goa, this month.
