Mahindra is soon going to introduce the second-gen of the XUV500 in the market by next year. The test car has been spotted many times. This time though it was spotted with uncovered headlights which gives us a clearer look at what kind New Mahindra XUV500 Headlights are on offer for the XUV500 next year.

New Mahindra XUV500 Spy Shot

Rushlane has come across the spy shots of the XUV500 while it was being tested. These spy shots show significant clear images of the front portion with the new headlights and grille. The design of the lights has become sharper and it takes inspiration from the XUV300. This could have been done to bring a family look in the car.

There are 2 strips of the LED daytime running lights. There rise up and merge with the indicator strip that is in the top portion of headlights. Also, the J shape of the headlights gives the car a wider look than the previous one. Overall the complete headlight assembly is C shaped and the contours from the hood are carried forward into them.

Changes for India

Mainly the interiors of this car will see a major change. Of course, there is a brand new platform under all this so the dimensions will be wider. Interiors will be spacious with a much sleeker centre console. There will also be bucket seats, flat-bottom steering and premium upholstery.

Other Changes

The grill is new with 6 vertical slats. Behind this new grille will be the 2.2-litre diesel or 2.0-litre petrol engine. The petrol engine was shown at Auto Expo 2020 and Mahindra confirmed that the newer cars will have petrol engines on them.

Apart from the New Mahindra XUV500 Headlights the car also gets flush-fitting door handles, larger rear quarter glass area and new bumpers. The window area extends to the back creating a floating roof effect. We are also expecting a slew of electronics on this car. An electronic parking brake sunroof, adaptive cruise control, collision warning, autonomous braking and lane departure system.
