The mid-size SUV segment gained all the popularity thanks to the Hyundai Creta. While the likeability of the new generation Hyundai Creta is debatable, it surely is a complete package in the mid-size SUV segment.  It was launched earlier this year, but the car has already received bookings close to 1.15 lakh cars.

The main USP of the car is its size and road presence.  It is not a proper SUV as it only comes with Front Wheel Drive but has high ground clearance which easily passes potholes, and broken roads without any problem. Find out below how the 2020 Hyundai Creta BS6 performs off-roads.

More about the experiment

The video is uploaded by MUSAFIR RAJ on his YouTube channel. The video starts by showing the Creta E trim. The vlogger has parked the car on a rocky river bed and plans to drive on it. He has also installed aftermarket alloy wheels on it. The vlogger gets into the car and starts driving through the rocky river bed.

Hyundai Creta Off-roads

The Creta is not exactly fording a river but is definitely being driven through a place where there are no proper roads. The locals have cleared section with less rocks and that part is now used as a track for car, bikes or any other vehicles. More about how the 2020 Hyundai Creta BS6 performs on off-roads below.

The driver aggressively drives the car and tries to cross it without any stops.  The Creta seems to be in control and the experiment ends without any drama. Hyundai Creta did not hit the bottom anywhere, thus confirming its ample ground clearance.

Precautions to be taken

Hyundai Creta Off-roads

Whenever you come across a water crossing, it is always a good option to get down and check whether there are any obstacles and the depth of the section. If the section is too deep, there is a possibility that the water might get into the intake and the engine might get hydro-locked. Always cross such sections slowly if you are not familiar with the place.
