Hyundai i20 Bookings

The booking for the Hyundai i20 can be dome at Rs 21,000. The bookings have been opened from 28th October. Hyundai has also announced that the launch of this next Gen i20 will take place on 5th November.

All Hyundai dealerships across India will take bookings of the Hyundai i20. Interested customers of this car can also book online using Click2Buy Hyundai platform. HDFC and ICICI bank cardholders can also avail a discount of 10% on the Hyundai i20 bookings online.

Engines and Variants

The Hyundai i20 Variants have not to be specified clearly but the engine options have been confirmed. Hyundai i20 Next-gen will come with BS6 compliant petrol, diesel and turbo petrol engine. The car will get Manual and IVT transmission but it will also get 7-speed DCT and the newly developed iMT. This is a segment-first and the car will get a lot of customers choosing it over others for these features.

We expect Hyundai to continue with its 4 trim pattern which includes – Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O).

Hyundai i20 Colours

The Hyundai i20 gets 6 colours to choose from. the Starry Night and Metallic Cooper seem to be kind of interesting colours. Also, there will be dual-tone options with black roof. Only the Polar white and Firey Red will be offered with Dual-tone options. These are – Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Starry Night and Metallic Cooper.

Key Changes

Safety-wise the car has got a new platform. It also gets a lighter chassis which is expected to give better mileage and performance. The company claims that it makes use of 66% advanced and high-strength steel for a robust ‘superstructure.

Competition

The Hyundai i20 next-gen is a key launch to this segment as there haven’t been any launches to this segment this year. Even Honda skipped on the new-gen of the Honda Jazz and it was brought with a BS6 compliant engine. The other rivals include the Baleno, Glanza and Tata Altroz.
