2020 Hyundai Verna Review Hyundai Verna Petrol base

Hyundai has launched a new petrol base variant to Verna’s lineup. It is called the E variant. Hyundai had adopted a similar strategy with its highest selling SUV, i.e. the Hyundai Creta. The new E variant is only available with a 1.5L petrol engine which produces 114PS of power and 144Nm of torque. Hyundai has also decided to provide a single 6-speed transmission with the variant. Most of the features of the S variant are available here. However, due to its low cost, the Hyundai Verna E misses out on 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, USB charging port, and sunglass holder. Every other accessory is the same between both the siblings. More about Hyundai Verna Petrol base variant below.

Conclusion

Sales of petrol vehicles have been increasing consistently after BS6 and near about same price of both the fuels. Petrol engine also offer reliability, low maintenance and less noise. The new E variant is Rs. 36,000 cheaper than the S variant. At its price, it’s a good deal as all the missing accessories can be inserted aftermarket for a fraction of the cost. For a lesser price, you get a much more premium overall car.  However the price increase in all the other models are not very good news for the customers.
