We have already covered the base variant and HTK+ variant of the Kia Sonet in our previous videos and articles.  The HTX is a notch higher than the HTK+ variant. The HTX variant is also available with a 1.0L petrol engine with iMT transmission or a 1.5L Diesel engine with 5-speed manual gearbox. Find out below how is the Kia Sonet HTX variant.

Exterior and Design

You get a smart key with the car which is dual tone with black base and silver switches.  The smart key comes with features like Lock, Unlock, Engine Start, and Boot open.  The overall design is quite similar across all the variants of the car.  You get the standard Black Tiger nose grille with chrome accents and LED headlamps with DRLs.  You also get projector headlamps up front. 16-inch steel wheels with silver wheel caps are present. Kia Sonet HTX gets disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear wheels.

LED turn indicators are present on the ORVM.  You also get impressive looking roof rails which increase the overall styling of the car.  Driver side passive entry, heartbeat taillights,  shark fin antenna with reverse parking camera and sensors.  Rear wiper and defogger is a miss on this variant of the SUV.  The boot space is quite sufficient with parcel tray.  The black rear diffuser at the rear of the car adds the final polished look to the SUV. Interiors and Features

The overall interior look and feel of the HTX is notch higher above the HTK+ model.  You get dual-tone interiors with black and beige colours, piano black finish on the gearbox, automatic climate control and better leather quality. The cruise control function is also available with the SUV.  The infotainment system is the same 8.0-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play and all the other features. One of the main changes is the inclusion of a sunroof in the car.  The seats are quite comfortable and better looking.

Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, High-speed warning system, Speed-sensing locks and push start/stop button.  More safety features could have been added to this variant. The Smart Air Purifier system is also not available with this variant. There are also multiple storage spaces in the car.  The overall fit and finish of the SUV is also quite good.  Steering wheel also is only height adjustable.  You also get 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.

Conclusion

The HTX is a big leap from the overall quality perspective of the HTK+ variant of the car. Rear seat features include adjustable headrests, Center armrest with cup holders, rear AC vents with charging socket.  The seat comfort is also quite satisfying.  The price of the HTX variant starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh.
