The Toyota Urban Cruiser has been one of the most anticipated launches in the Indian car market.  What is the most evident change in the Toyota Urban Cruiser? The re-badged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza comes with Toyota logo all over the car. Find out below about the Toyota Urban Cruiser in-detail walkaround.

Exterior changes

The front grille on the Toyota Urban Cruiser is completely different from the Maruti counterpart.  The new front grille comes with a Fortuner inspired look and feel.  You get dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs and LED fog lamps with chrome accents.  The side profile of the car is very similar to the Brezza.  You get 16-inch alloy wheels.  The rear profile of the car is also quite the same with a similar amount of boot space as the Vitara Brezza.  You get 6  single tone colour options. 3 Dual-tone colour options are also available.

Interiors

There is no overall difference in the interiors of the SUV compared to the Brezza, except the Toyota badge on the steering wheel. The seats have a brownish tint to them to differentiate from its sibling.  Cruise Control, Steering mounted controls, are features available on the top-spec variant of the car.  The sitting position of the driver is quite impressive and you get electronic IRVM and ORVM.  The steering wheel is also only height adjustable.  The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be available in three variants. Automatic Climate Control, Dual airbags, ESP, Push Start/Stop button, are standard across all the variants of the car. More about Toyota Urban Cruiser Walkaround below.

The rear seat space and comfort is also quite impressive for the Urban Cruiser.  You also get sufficient storage space, ISOFIX seats, 60:40 split, and centre arm-rest with cup-holders.  Disadvantages here include the absence of rear AC vents and charging sockets. Both of these features are customer favourite and should have been included.

Engine and Performance

You get the same 1.5L Petrol engine with the Toyota Urban Cruiser as the Maruti Brezza.  You get both MT/AT transmission option.  Variant options include Mid, High, Premium and Premium Dual tone. All the variants are available with both manual and automatic transmission.  The mild-hybrid system on the top-spec variant of the Maruti Brezza is also present here.  The Toyota Urban Cruiser starts at Rs.8.40 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to 11.55 lakh.  The service cost and service interval is also the same. You only get a longer warranty period with the Toyota Urban Cruiser.  You get 3 years+ 1 lakh km warranty.
