Hexa Safari Edition

Tata is planning to bring back the Hexa in the Indian car market very soon.  The car is set to be launch later this year or next year.  Recently, new images surfaced online which show the new Tata Hexa being tested.  Tata already showcased the Tata Hexa Safari edition in Auto Expo 2020 but the test car was different.  Tata had also confirmed that the Tata Hexa Safari edition would be launched with BS6 emission norms.  The recently spied vehicle is thought to be the Safari Edition 4×4 AT. The overall styling of the car looks pretty same as ago. Tata will surely make some minor tweaks to help the car stand out.

The Auto Expo model was introduced as a concept car, but looked quite production-ready, thanks to its similarity with the BS4 model.  The production version of the Tata Hexa Safari Edition may be quite similar to the concept car at Auto Expo 2020. More about Tata Hexa 4×4 AT below.

Tata also showcased the interiors of the concept car. It came with dual-tone black and white interiors.  The dashboard also has a Safari Edition badge with a Harman sourced 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 10-speaker setup.  The Tata Hexa Safari Edition also comes with Connected Car technology, Emergency assist, Park assist, Smart manual and Smart remote.

Engine and Performance for BS4

Tata Hexa 4x4 AT

The BS4 Tata Hexa came with a 2.2L Diesel engine which makes 148bhp of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque.  Three transmission options were available to choose from: 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.  The top-spec model in the BS4 avatar came with different performance tune. The BS6 model will get an updated 2.2L Diesel engine. It will face tough competition against Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and MG Gloster
