Hero MotoCorp has launched the Duet, its new scooter that was showcased last month and finally has been launched at INR 53,200 (on-road, Bangalore) for the based model LX and about INR 54,500 (on-road) for the top variant VX. The Duet and the Maestro Edge were showcased by Hero and these two have been launched in Bangalore and some other cities and towns in South India.

“Now with Duet in the market, we are confident of further strengthening our presence in the scooter segment,” stated Pawan Munjal, Hero MotoCorp, Chairman, MD and CEO.

Hero Duet 00

We have now expanded our scooter portfolio with the launch of the new scooter Duet. The Duet and Maestro Edge scooters the first of the products developed by our own in-house R&D team – mark a significant step in Hero’s journey.”

The Hero Duet has a 110cc engine that produces about 8bhp of power and this competes with the Activa-i. The Duet is a lot more affordable than the Maestro Edge and misses out on those extra bells and whistles that are offered on the Maestro Edge. The latter one feels a lot more premium too, when it comes to buttons and the handle on the bike.
