CT 100 being the cheapest Bajaj bike with commuter looks does not get much attention from the youth. But this bike modified by Bullet Tower Customs has been a complete head-turner. They have turned this basic looking cheapest commuter that Bajaj offers into a completely modified Scrambler.

What has improved?

The bike looks visually very premium now. The straight clip-on handlebars seem from the pulsar give the bike a sporty feel. Also, they have been painted golden to go with the yellow and matte black theme of the bike. A round headlight at the front with mesh grill add to the front look of the bike. This is flanked by an offset instrument cluster.

The chassis of the bike has not been altered at all. This keeps the engine mountings and the engine stable. Also, the tank has kept the same so technically this bike still runs like a Bajaj CT100. The only engine modification that can be seen is the new exhaust.

Modified Scrambler

The seat of the bike has been changed to a flatter quilted seat as seen on the Xpulse 200T. The Rear fender has been made shorter and the wheels at both ends have got new alloy design. The shock absorbers seem to be kept stock at the rear. The front shock has got rubber covering to give it a offroad rugged look.

Where does it lack?

Although we haven’t tested the bike we still feel that the bike should have got a disc brake set up. The brake on the CT 100 seem weak and this has not been changed on the modified bike too.

The scrambler DNA is seen in terms of design and looks only. The humble motor of the CT100 is not agile and is tuned to fuel efficiency. In short the bike is just all looks. It makes for a perfect build if someone is looking for their first bike and wants something unique. If you are not so much into performance and looks are your only concern then instead of buying a 1 lakh plus bike one can go for a CT100 and modify it according to their taste.

Points to remember

According to the new rules of the RTO which state that no modification should be done to your vehicle this bike does not remain road legal. The colour has been changed and there is an aftermarket exhaust. These might come as a barrier to the bike getting RTO clearance.
