Hyundai Creta is one of the most successful offerings from the Korean manufacturer.  It became the segment-leader quickly and has remained there for quite some time now. The ex-showroom price of this car is Rs.9.99 lakh(Ex-showroom)  Read below about what you get in the Hyundai Creta base variant.

Exterior Design

The Hyundai Creta was already a good looking SUV.  But the company did quite well in the update.  The base variant Creta comes with a basic black colour key with three buttons.  You do not get chrome grille in this variant.

A simple and silver and black grille is present.  LED DRLs with yellow headlamps make the SUV look modern and stylish.  A grey coloured false skid plate is also present beneath the base variant of the car.  The overall dimensions of the car are the same for all the variants.

You get 16-inch steel wheels with silver wheel caps in the base variant of the Hyundai Creta.  There is also no chrome on the door handles of the SUV.  Roof rails and shark fin antenna are missing too from the base variant of the car.

The black spoiler is present here. LED taillamps are not included in this variant. You get the normal taillamps with the car.  The boot space is 433L without any parcel tray. You also get a full-size 16-inch spare tyre with the car.  You only get Reverse parking sensors without any camera support.

Interior Design

The interiors of the base variant Hyundai Creta look pretty dull and boring on the first look.  You do not get any infotainment system with the car. It is simply the bare-bones essentials in the interiors of the car.  Safety features include dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, High-Speed Alert, Speed-Sensing locks and power windows for all the four of them.

You get a small fixed armrest for the front seats of the car. Headrests are also available only on the front seats. The dashboard is dual-tone.  The AC air vents are standard throughout all the variants.  Analogue instrument cluster with Digital MID is present.

Electrically adjustable ORVM is also present. The rear seats are pretty basic.  You get rear AC vents but no charging socket.  You also only get Manual AC in the car.

Engine and Performance

A 1.5L Diesel engine which produces 115bhp of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque is present.  You also get a 6-speed manual transmission.

The engine is quite good and trustworthy. The base variant is quite good for its price and aftermarket parts can make it even better.  The steering wheel is also height adjustable in the variant of the SUV.  The interior plastic quality is a notch lower than the top variant of the car.

For its price, it’s a great deal and trustworthy package. Hyundai Creta also brings the service and maintenance promise of Hyundai.  The car fulfils all the basic requirements and is a good value for money product. Also, it is the best selling SUV in India.
