MG ZS has been spotted doing rounds on the Gujarat highway. Note that this is not the electric version of the car. We expect MG to launch the vehicle with an IC engine soon. Here are all the expectation that we have with this vehicle.

What are the changes?

Over the electric counterpart of the MG ZS Spyshots have 2 major noticeable changes. They have different alloy wheels. The design is more contemporary and gives it a great look. Also, the fog lamp holders have a different shape.

The MG ZS was shown at the Auto Expo 2020. A few interior spy shots of the ZS have also been spotted. The car shown at the Auto Expo had blackened out windows. As seen below the car sports a big touch screen display as seen on the Hector. Also, the seems to be due to the shape of the gear knob

Engine Expected

The MG ZS petrol is available globally with two powertrain options. A 1.5-litre VTi engine producing a maximum power output of 118bhp and a peak torque of 150Nm. There is also a 1.3-litre Turbo-Petrol engine option which produces a maximum power output of 161bhp and a peak torque of 230Nm.  The car in the international market comes with both 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission unit.

The spy images suggest that the company may soon launch the MG ZS Petrol in the Indian market. However, we feel that MG may first launch the Gloster in India and then the G10 MPV. Full-size SUV and MPV are popular segments too. After launch, the MG ZS Petrol will rival the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Nissan Kicks.
