The interiors are also quite similar to Maruti Vitara Brezza. You get a simple and basic dashboard layout with a touchscreen infotainment system.  Toyota also has already confirmed that you will get dual-tone dark brown hues in the interiors of the car.  You also get a foldable armrest at the rear seat for passenger comfort and premiumness.

New launch campaign ‘RESPECT’?

According to Toyota, the new car Urban Cruiser is aimed towards young age car buyers.  Toyota believes that its target audience is looking for early success in life and this new car will be a reflection of that.  The bookings of the Toyota Urban Cruiser have already started since August 22, 2020, for a token amount of Rs.11, 000. Official launch may be around the festive season of 2020.

Engine and Performance

The Toyota Urban Cruiser will continue to use Vitara Brezza’s 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces a maximum power output of 105hp and a peak torque of 138Nm.  According to our sources, a SmartHybrid mild hybrid system is also highly likely and will attract new customers.  This new tech will be available with both manual and automatic transmissions.

What will be the price of the car?

The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be priced quite close to the Vitara Brezza. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza costs between Rs.7.33 to Rs.11.39 lakh with 9 variant options to choose from.  Toyota may sell the car to a smaller audience at a more premium price compared to Maruti. International exposure will be an added advantage.  Toyota will also provide the new car with 3year/1,00,000km warranty in comparison to Maruti’s 2year/40,000km warranty. If this is true, there is a vast difference here and can be considered a major comparison point.
